Our Rye home is a boutique coastal property with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, an outdoor cinema, a fire pit, a PS5, and a massage chair. Minutes from the bay, with mentors on site throughout.

Medication management is taken very seriously at Kickstart. Our staff are trained to administer medications safely and according to prescribed instructions. We maintain detailed records of medication administration and closely monitor any changes in medication regimens. If your loved one requires medication during their stay, our team will ensure that it is administered appropriately and in accordance with their healthcare plan.

Our staff members undergo comprehensive training and hold relevant qualifications in youth support, first aid, and mental health. We hire compassionate people with experience in working with young people and diverse backgrounds. All hold NDIS Worker Screening and a Working with Children Check.

The safety and wellbeing of our participants are our top priorities during recreational outings. We have stringent safety protocols in place, including thorough risk assessments, trained staff supervision, and adherence to industry safety standards. Additionally, our staff are equipped with necessary emergency response training and communication devices to swiftly address any concerns that may arise during outings.

Yes, participants are encouraged to bring personal belongings from home to make their stay more comfortable and familiar. This may include clothing, toiletries, favourite books or toys, and any other items that they find comforting. We strive to create a homely environment where our guests feel at ease and surrounded by the things that help them feel relaxed.

We understand that respite care not only provides relief for participants but also for their families and caregivers. We can provide information about community resources, offer guidance on navigating support services, and address any concerns or questions you may have. Your wellbeing is important to us, and we’re here to help where we can.
